Description

The Grand Slam Breakfast is the epitome of an all-American morning meal. With its combination of crispy bacon, savory sausage, soft eggs, and fluffy pancakes, this dish offers a satisfying and hearty start to your day. The natural sweetness of maple syrup contrasts perfectly with the rich and savory flavors, making it a delightful meal.

This dish is versatile and customizable; whether you like your eggs scrambled, fried, or poached, or if you prefer extra syrup or a side of fresh fruit, the Grand Slam adapts to your taste. It’s perfect for lazy weekend mornings, family breakfasts, or any time you want a filling and comforting meal.

Ingredients

– 2 large eggs

– 2 pancakes

– 2 slices of crispy bacon

– 2 sausage links

– 1 tablespoon butter

– 1/4 cup maple syrup

– Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Start by cooking the bacon and sausages. Place the bacon in a cold skillet and cook over medium heat until crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside. Cook the sausages in the same pan until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Set aside with the bacon.

2. For the pancakes, heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a small amount of butter. Pour pancake batter onto the skillet and cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook for another minute or until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter.

3. While the pancakes are cooking, heat another pan and crack the eggs in, cooking them to your preference (scrambled, fried, or poached). Season with salt and pepper.

4. Plate the pancakes and top with butter and a generous drizzle of maple syrup.

5. Arrange the eggs, bacon, and sausage alongside the pancakes to complete your Grand Slam.
