Ingredients

– 1/2 cup rolled oats  

– 1 cup water or milk (dairy or plant-based)  

– 1 ripe banana, mashed  

– 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon  

– 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)  

– A pinch of salt  

– Optional toppings: sliced bananas, chopped nuts, or fresh berries  


Instructions

1. In a small saucepan, combine the rolled oats, water or milk, mashed banana, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.  

2. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.  

3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the oats are cooked and the consistency is creamy.  

4. Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup, if desired.  

5. Serve the oatmeal warm in a bowl, topped with slice
