Ingredients

For the Chicken and Salmon :

– 2 chicken breasts

– 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (for chicken)

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– Lemon wedges (for garnish)

For the Lemon Herb Sauce :

– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/2 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth

– 3 tablespoons lemon juice

– 1 teaspoon lemon zest

– 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

– 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken and Salmon :

   – Pat the chicken breasts and salmon fillets dry.

   – Season the chicken with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

   – Season the salmon with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

2. Cook the Chicken :

   – Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

   – Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove and set aside.

3. Cook the Salmon :

   – In the same skillet, heat the remaining olive oil.

   – Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.

   – Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is flaky. Remove and set aside.

4. Make the Lemon Herb Sauce :

   – In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

   – Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

   – Pour in the chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to slightly reduce.

   – Stir in parsley and dill. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.

5. Assemble and Serve :

   – Arrange the chicken and salmon on a serving platter.

   – Drizzle the lemon herb sauce over the proteins and garnish with lemon wedges and fresh herbs.
